Thumbs Up Productions was founded in 2004 and soon out of the starting blocks with a 20×30’ series entitled Celebrity Snappers for Living. By the end of 2004, Thumbs Up were Flextech Television’s biggest supplier of original programming and had broken firmly into Broadcast Top 100 indies.
The company continue build on a solid reputation of quality programming ‘no matter the budget’ and have produced factual, entertainment and factual entertainment shows for ITV, Sky One, Living, Discovery, The Biography Channel, Challenge and Sky Atlantic.
Recent productions include one of the UK’s most popular factual entertainment show, Britain and Ireland’s Next Top Model (Sky Living), as well as new medical series, My Big Fat Operation (Bio Channel) and a brand new series fronted by Morgan Spurlock (Sky Atlantic).
Having completed seven seasons of BNTM, Thumbs Up now works in partnership with CBS Paramount’s other Top Model licence holders to provide consultancy and co production.
Thumbs Up also has a busy interactive department providing 100’s of hours of content for our broadcast clients.
Thumbs Up are represented in the US by Alan Braun of the Creative Artists Agency in LA.
To date Thumbs Up has been nominated for three Broadcast and Televisual Awards.
The company was founded by Marty Redman and TJ Sherbrooke.

The Oscar nominated documentary film maker, Morgan Spurlock hosts SKY ATLANTIC’S newest series.
Famed for his multi award-winning 2004 documentary, Super Size Me in which he ate nothing but McDonald’s for 30 days, Spurlock has carved out a successful career challenging society’s accepted norms and bringing wry humour to taboo subjects.
Witty, off-beat and deliciously scathing, each of the 10x 60-minute shows will see Spurlock scrutinize one particular aspect of British society, with the help of some big-name guests from the worlds of comedy, celebrity and politics, from both sides of the Atlantic.
Filmed over the course one year, our cameras follow the life changing journeys of 12 morbidly obese patients as they undergo radical life saving surgery. Including access into the operating theatres, each episode charts the progress of two patients as they struggle with their new bodies and eating regimes. This is their last chance to lose weight and save themselves. Heart wrenching journeys and life changing transformations – this is the true face of super obesity surgery like never seen before.

Season 7
Newly titled Britain and Ireland’s Next Top Model, Season 7 began with two massive changes to the audition process, firstly, Elle made a mandatory minimum height requirement of 5’8 and above. Secondly, for the first time ever in the history of top model the judges hosted open auditions including venturing out on their own street castings!
Whilst smashing ratings records, Elle and her panel crowned Jade Thompson their winner after a nail biting runway show modelling designer Mark Fast’s latest collection.
Can a deserving mum be given the transformation of a lifetime in the time between dropping off and picking up the kids at school? Melanie Sykes and her crack team of makeover magicians including Nicky Clarke are about to find out!

Gethin Jones hosts this new game show about money and greed! One contestant has to answer ten questions, if they do not know the answer they have the chance to buy the answer from sixty money hungry traders. The trader and contestant only have twenty second to decide on a price, however the risk the contestant takes is that the trader could be bluffing and not actually know the correct answer! Season 6
In 2010 supermodel, actress, designer and business woman Elle Macpherson aka ‘The Body’ burst onto our screens as the new host of Britain’s Next Top Model. Elle was determined to find a new breed of top model. This was BNTM’s first transmission in High Definition and the public loved it!
A completely new panel joined Elle including male model Charley Speed, stylist Grace Woodward and the doyenne of British fashion, designer Julien Macdonald bringing new dynamics and a tougher than ever line up.
Malaysia provided the tropical glamour of the final episodes before a live televised final crowning Tiffany Pisani the eventual winner.
Can mums transform into models? Can divorcees turn into catwalk queens? Can middle aged women rediscover how to look fabulous at forty plus? 6 women all over the age of 40 will will undergo a radical mind and body transformation in their bid to win a modelling contract with Europe’s biggest model agency Models 1 as well as a fashion spread in SHE magazine.
